Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care
What is the AAAHC?
Founded in 1979, the Acreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care is a private, non-profit organization formed to assist ambulatory health care organizations improve the quality of care provided to patients.
This association is also known for being the leader in ambulatory health care accreditation currently accrediting almost 5,000 organizations.
This association has the purpose to encourage and assist ambulatory health care organizations to provide the best level of care for recipients in the most efficient and economically sound manner.
This is a voluntary process through which an organization is able to measure the quality your services and performance against nationally-recognized standards.
This certificate is a symbol that an organization is committed to providing high-quality health care and that it has demonstrated that commitment by measuring up to the nationally-recognized standards of AAAHC high standards.
The standards have been developed to encourage the voluntary attainment of high-quality care in organizations providing health care services in ambulatory settings. They describe characteristics that the Accreditation Association believes to be indicative of an accreditable organization.
AAAHC and Nova Dental
The international section of AAAHC is now accrediting ambulatory surgery centers in Costa Rica and other countries in Central America. This accreditation means that the organization, in this case Nova Dental Clinic, has undergone a thorough review of its policies and practices.
