Your first dental should be a great experience. For that reason you must be prepared not only with relevant information for the denstist but with questions about your actual dental health and what to do for improve it.
One of the things you should know is that your dentist will check your face and neck for any abnormalities, such as lumps, bumps or swelling. After this, the mouth will be also checked for discolorations or ulcers on your lips, gums, tongue, palate and cheeks. Your gums and jawbone are part of this clinical exam. They ´re very important for the foundations of your teeth.
An X-rays exam is very important for a proper diagnose of all potential problems with your mouth. It will give the dentist a more accurate vision about what is inside your mouth.
For taking advantage of that visit, a list of questions to ask is also neccesary. So, try not to forget anything on the day of your appointment. This includes any concerns you have, or oral problems you’ve been experiencing.
