TECHNOLOGY:

Intraoral X-Ray System

X-rays enable us to detect cavities in between teeth, determine bone level, health of bone, actual state of crowns and bridges, etc. We can also examine the roots and nerves of teeth, diagnose injuries such as cysts or tumours, as well as assess damage when trauma occurs.

Dental x-rays are invaluable allies in diagnosing, treating, and maintaining dental health. Exposure time to digital dental x-rays is extremely minimal (50-90% less radiation than conventional dental x-rays).

The advantages of digital imaging enable us to not only store patient images, but also permit us the immediate transfer to appropriate specialists or insurance companies.

Clinical Microscope:

In order to provide for the patient with the most advanced dental treatments, Nova Dental is equipped with one of the newest released clinical microscopes of the world. This permits us to be very precise with the treatment results.

Infection Control:

Infection controls and universal precautions protect clients and staff alike. Everyone benefits from rigorous infection control — you, your dentist, and the dental team.

Our entire team follows procedures recommended by several federal agencies: the Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA), the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Centers for DiseaseControl (CDC). These measures include:

• Disinfectant hand soap
• Gloves and face masks
• Chemical disinfection of countertops and surfaces
• Sterilization of all equipment before every use
• Disposable materials

We sterilize all reusable equipment, including dental hand pieces. We use an autoclave, a device that kills bacteria and viruses by steam, heat and pressure.
