Responsibilities and Rights

Nova Dental´s patients have responsibilities and rights. Here you will learn about them. Please read this information carefully. In case of any doubt or emergency, just give us a call or drop us an email, we are more than willing to help you.

PATIENTS RESPONSABILITIES
1. To be actively responsible for your own health.
2. To use the premises and health services correctly, according to the standards of use.
3. To be sure that all financial obligations related to your healthcare are paid in a timely manner.
4. To follow instructions and indications that the healthcare personnel provide for your care.
5. To be courteous with personnel, patients, family members and companions.
6. To provide all details regarding your physical conditions and health in a truthful manner, especially when necessary for reasons of public interest or emergency.
7. To be responsible for your own decisions regarding your health, record and sign them in writing if necessary. If you decide to leave the hospital prior to completing treatment, sign a Leaving Against Medical Advice Form.
RESPONSABILIDADES DEL PACIENTE
1. Responsabilizarse de su propia salud de una forma active.
2. Usar correctamente las instalaciones y servicios de salud conforme a las normas generales de utilización.
3. Asegurarse de que las obligaciones financieras asociadas con el cuidado de su salud se cumplan a tiempo.
4. Cumplir todas las instrucciones e indicaciones que le brinde en forma adecuada el personal de salud.
5. Mantener el respeto debido al personal y a los otros pacientes, familiares y acompañantes.
6. Facilitar los datos sobre su estado físico o sobre su salud de manera leal y verdadera, asi como el de colaborar en su obtención, especialmente cuando sean necesarios por razones de interés publico o con motivo de asistencia medica.
7. Asumir las propias decisiones sobre su salud, dejar constancia por escrito de estas y firmar el documento de alta voluntaria.

3. To receive information in a clear, timely and truthful manner.
4. To decide freely about where or how to receive healthcare.
5. To grant or withhold Informed Consent.
6. To be a treated with confidentiality.
7. A second medical opinion.
8. To receive medical attention in case of emergency.
9. To have a personal medical record.
10. Right to be heard if not satisfied with attention received.
DERECHOS DEL PACIENTE
1. Recibir atención medica adecuada.
2. Recibir trato digno y respetuoso.
3. Recibir información suficiente, clara, oportuna y veraz.
4. Decidir libremente sobre su atención.
5. Otorgar o no su consentimiento válidamente informado.
6. Ser tratado con confidencialidad.
7. Contar con facilidades para obtener una segunda opinión.
8. Recibir atención medica en caso de urgencia.
9. Contar con un expediente clínico.
10. Ser atendido cuando este inconforme por la atención medica recibida.
